The following "core" programs might meet your needs with minimal or extensive customization. The more you allow customization, the greater the likelihood for significant success and long-term value.

We can modify these programs in many ways, possibly combining objectives from two or more programs, for example. Likewise, we can develop a new program not directly related to these seminars.

EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION & PRESENTATION SKILLS

GOAL: To enable sales professionals to enhance their interpersonal communication skills and hone their formal presentation style

OBJECTIVES: Participants will...

  • Review and practice all the basic interpersonal communication skills: voice, energy, movement, eye contact, listening, pausing, questioning, summarizing, mediating, facilitating, etc.
  • Understand the basic elements of a formal presentation and practice developing one
  • Deliver two brief informal presentations and one longer, formal presentation, with all three video recorded
  • Review their performance on video and get individual and group feedback on their communication/presentation effectiveness
  • Learn how to avoid the "Powerpoint Trap" and rely on themselves
  • Cut a Powerpoint presentation of 15-20 frames to three or four frames, in a group exercise

METHODOLOGY: Facilitator presentations, observation of video scenes, including effective and ineffective communication; presentations by participants of increasing duration; video recording and feedback of participants; writing outlines of presentations, using technology to strengthen impact of presentations

PARTICIPANTS: Sales reps at all levels of experience, sales managers, marketing staff, sales engineers, product managers, etc.

SCHEDULE: Two consecutive days or two days the same week
